Dear Fleckney Walking Club,

 

I am reaching out to you because we are gearing up for the Walk of Wales, Prostate Cymru’s biggest awareness and fundraising initiative for 2026, and we would love to have the local walking community involved. As a club that knows the value of getting outdoors and staying active, I am hoping you might help to spread the word to your members. 

 

The Prostate Cymru team will be walking the entire circumference of Wales, over 1,000 miles in just 44 days. We are inviting supporters to join us on various sections of the route. Beyond raising awareness for prostate cancer (the most common cancer in men), our goal is to raise £300,000. These funds will directly support the recruitment of six specialist cancer nurses across NHS Wales health boards.

 

How can you help?

We want to make sure as many people as possible have the chance to lace up and join the cause. We would be incredibly grateful if you could share this opportunity with your members by circulating the registration link via your next newsletter or WhatsApp group. I have also attached a digital flyer to this email, if you have a physical or digital noticeboard where members congregate, please consider signposting it there.
