The Weekday Walks

We typically set off at 8:30 a.m. from Fleckney Village car park (///loses.always.huts) for a 1.5 to 2.5-hour walk. There’s usually no set route until we see who’s joining, have a quick discussion, and then head off!

We have a variety of local routes ranging from 3 to 6 miles, but sometimes we venture further afield and explore new and longer routes. Weather plays a big role in our plans, and on some days, we decide to stay in.

For those looking for more of a challenge, we occasionally embark on much longer walks—anywhere from 9 to 14 miles—which can take most of the day. We treat these as exploratory walks, much like a recce for Sunday hikes.

We stay connected via a WhatsApp group, which usually becomes active around 8:00 a.m.
