The Langtons

8.5 miles: The Langtons is always provide a good walk. Starting from Tur Langton head east to Stonton Wyville and then southeast towards Welham. The return trek takes in Thorpe Langton, East Langton and the Bell Inn, then Church Langton and back to Tur Langton.

Billesdon

6.5 miles: This walk was a circular one starting at the Market Place in Billesdon, thence towards Billesdon Coplow and back via the ancient village of Frisby.

Barkby

6 miles: This walk takes in Riverside, Beeby, Lodge Farm, and a permissive track back to Barkby and The Malt Shovel. As our leader said: “Short on stiles, but not on style”.

Chapel Brampton

8 miles: Starting at Chapel Brampton ,we walked towards Holdenby Hall, and came back via Harlestone and Church Brampton. The pub stop was at the end of the walk at The Spencer Arms in Chapel Brampton.

Mowsley

7.5 miles: This local walk is lovely – when the weather permits! From Fleckney head through Saddington, across fields to Mowsley, across more fields through Saddington Lodge Farm and then even more fields back to Fleckney.

Thurlaston

Grange over Sands

September 7th to 9th, 2018 Our last weekend away for 2018 took us to Grange over Sands, Cumbria. This was a particularly hilly weekend but the views from the tops of the Lancashire lumps were spectacular, to say the least.

Nidderdale

July 20th to 22nd, 2018 The second of our weekends away for 2018 took us to the Yorkshire Dales. Nidderdale is an area of outstanding natural beauty in North Yorkshire, bordering the Yorkshire Dales National Park to the east and south. We had a fantastic weekend with some excellent walks and good weather.
