Marston to Lubenham

Approximately 7.5 miles, this walk takes you clockwise from Marston Trussell to Foxton Locks down to Lubenham and the Coach & Horses, and back to Marston.

Pailton

Approximately 8 miles, this walk takes you from Pailton towards Easenhall, past Newbold Reve, over to Monks Kirby (Denbigh Arms) and back to Pailton.

Fleckney to Laughton

This walk starts from Fleckney, heads through Saddington, over to Laughton, touching on Gumley, and back through Saddington to Fleckney.

Dadlington

This walk starts at The Green in Dadlington and finishes at the village pub, the Dog & Hedgehog. The route goes via Ashby Canal towpath and Sutton Cheney Wharf to the Bosworth Battlefield.

Arnesby

Just over 7 miles, this local walk takes you from Fleckney to Arnesby, down to Shearsby, and back to Fleckney. Very muddy if it’s been raining!

5.5 miles: This walk takes you from The (Pug and) Greyhound (shame!), down to the canal and along the towpath to Newton Harcourt. From there it’s across the fields back to Great Glen and The (Pug and) Greyhound (hooray!).

Great Glen

8.5 miles: From Great Glen to Little Stretton, over to King’s Norton (the long way!), down through Burton Overy and then back to Great Glen and The (Pug and) Greyhound.

Tur Langton

8 miles: Park at, or near, The Crown Inn at Tur Langton and head north-east to Carlton Curlieu, around in a long loop to Shangton and back to The Crown – sorry, Tur Langton!

Hallaton

8.5 miles: The countryside and views around Hallaton are some of the best. Park at or near the Bewicke Arms and head out of Hallaton past the church. This route takes you through Slawston, Blaston, and Horninghold before doubling back to Hallaton.
